Controversies
- He resigned as an ODI captain in October 2009 as he was alleged to be in the match-fixing by the Parliament investigation and after being cleared in the investigation, he said: “Yes I have submitted my resignation because I am disgusted by these match-fixing allegations made against the team and me.”
- In the year 2010 Younis Khan and Mohammad Yusuf, were suspended from Pakistan team for an indefinite period by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as of the stated reason of “Brech of discipline within the team.”
- While playing ODI in the year 2015, Younis Khan blamed Misbah-UL-Haq ana the head coach Waqar Yunis for dropping him and stated that they didn’t motivate players and are very casual about matches.
- He was charged 50% of his match fees, when left in between in the domestic match in April 2016. After referee Aziz Rehman told him for a disciplinary hearing. Also, he stated that his images were being unnecessarily getting spoil at this stage of his career.
