Smeed is a college student and has been pursuing his undergraduate Open University degree in maths and economics. He spent schooling and did early education at the King’s College which is an independent school in Taunton, Somerset.

Initially, it was at King’s College where Will Smeed participated in the school’s cricket program and events. He studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics up to A Levels, achieving an A* in each subject. Indeed, he was an intelligent student and never lagged.

Career

Will Smeed’s contribution to the Somerset U17s throughout the 2018 season was commendable. Following a shoulder injury in 2019, he couldn’t make it to England U-19 team.

Will made his T20 debut in 2020, and scored 82 runs from just 49 balls in only his second game against Gloucestershire. He has since a crucial figure in Somerset’s run to last year’s Vitality Blast final. Smeed represented Quetta Gladiators in PSL 2021.
