Virat Kohli displays new skill: Indian captain Virat Kohli has been out of cricketing action, as a result of the IPL 2021 being suspended. With the way how things were going for him and his RCB unit, it looked highly probable of them making it to the playoffs for the second consecutive time. But the attention will now be shifting back to international cricket, with India taking on New Zealand in the ICC WTC Final, followed up by their five match Test series versus hosts England.
Virat Kohli is keeping himself warmed up as we see the skipper getting involved in some football action. In a recent video that he posted, the 32 year old is seen taking a free kick from outside the box, which remarkably hits the crossbar.
Virat Kohli the Footballer
Virat Kohli, himself, was in disbelief as to how he pulled it off, and it was quite evident with the caption as well.
‘Accidental crossbar challenge’ is what Kohli posted.

A few years ago, the Indian skipper also took part in a charity game between the All Hearts and the All Stars. Kohli led the All Hearts, while Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor was in charge of the All Stars. Kohli also managed to score that night as his team secured a comprehensive 7-3 win.
It’s just a matter of days before Virat Kohli and his men take on New Zealand in the World Test Championship Final, that will be played on June 18 to 2. Meanwhile, their series versus England will begin on August and will last till mid September.
IPL 2021 to return in September
As per speculations, the BCCI are looking to resume IPL 2021 on September 18 or 19, with the final likely to be held on October 9 or 10. It’s the UAE which is being considered as the alternative venue to host the remaining fixtures.

“The BCCI has spoken to all the stakeholders and the likely start could be between September 18th to 20th. Since September 18 is a Saturday and 19 a Sunday, it is more likely that you would want to re-start it on a weekend date,” the BCCI officials were quoted saying.
