Vikash Singh, one of India’s prominent race walkers, is set to represent the nation at the upcoming Paris Olympics. The Kerala-born athlete earned his qualification for the mega event during the Asian Championships in May last year. Vikash achieved an impressive time of 1:20:05 in the open category of the 20km walk race at this continental competition.
During this event, Vikash shared the podium with fellow Indian athlete Paramjeet Singh Bisht, who finished third with a time of 1:20:08. The qualifying mark for the Paris Olympics was 1:20:10. This outstanding achievement also secured Vikash a spot in the World Athletics Championships, held in Budapest in August 2023. Unfortunately, he could not replicate his earlier success at the global event.

He improved his timing at the World Athletics Championships, clocking 1:21:58, but did not win a medal.
