Simon Katich is a former Australian cricketer who went on to represent the nation in 56 Tests and 45 ODIs. Katich was a left-handed opening batsman who can bowl left-arm chinaman as well. His full name is Simon Mathew Katich and the nickname is Kat. Katich is of Croatian descent. His grandparents were born in Croatia and his father moved to Perth, Australia in the 1920s. Katich retired from the all-forms of cricket in 2014. Katich is currently working as the Football Operations Manager of the Greater Western Sydney Giants AFL club.
