Personal Life
Kalpana was born on 5th May 1996, in Andhra Pradesh, India. Being deprived of luxary she was born in quite a poor family. Her father is an autorickshaw driver. She also has a sister because of which her parents wanted to her to get married at an early stage of life. But she struggled a lot and finally convinced her parent to not get her married her off. Once in an interview, she said: “My most memorable win is so far to convince my family and stop my marriage which could have happened almost abruptly”.
The financial crisis was always a big bane for Ravi and her family and her father couldn’t afford proper training in cricket for her. Her cricket career was almost at the verge of ending when Coach Srinivas Reddy came forward to support her and trained her for better.
Early Stage In Cricket
She began her cricket career by playing for the state team of Andhra Pradesh. She was given an allowance of Rs 4000 from the Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association (APCA).
Initially, she was a part of the Under- 16 team where she played for South Zone division. Later she moved on to play for the Under 19 team and then selected for India Green Team in the year 2012, thereafter in 2014, she went in for Senior South Zone.
Finally, her dream came true when she got selected for the Indian Women’s Cricket team in 2015. This was also the time when she made her international debut in cricket and played her first match against New Zealand.

It was where she met her first coach Srinivas Reddy and started developing an interest in cricket.
