Ravi Ashwin registered his name in the history books, as he picked up his 500th Test wicket in Rajkot against England. The Indian all-rounder has been a great servant to his national side over the years, and it is fair to say that he is among the world’s best spinners in the recent time.
Ravi Ashwin has had a decent start to the five-match Test series against England, picking up 11 wickets in the three matches. He had to leave midway through the third Test in Rajkot, on account of some personal emergency. However, he returned on the following day, and picked up his 500th Test wicket.
Let us have a look at Ravi Ashwin’s stats at the Ranchi Stadium:

Ravi Ashwin does not have the best of records here in Ranchi. The Indian spinner has picked up just three wickets in the two Test matches he has played here, averaging above 85. He has not impressed with the bat either, scoring just 17 runs in two innings.
In T20I cricket, the veteran has done well with the ball, picking up two wickets in four matches. He has an economy of just 4.13, which is pretty impressive in this format.
Ravi Ashwin has not been as consistent as he is generally known to be on home soil in the ongoing series. Barring the first Test where he picked up six wickets, the all-rounder has had to really work hard to get wickets. He will look to get back to his usual best in Ranchi, as India hope to wrap up the series.
