Quinton de Kock is South Africa’s one of the best white-ball batters. The wicket-keeper batter had already taken retirement from the Test Cricket and he also has retired from the ODI cricket after the World Cup 2023.
The left-handed southpaw decided to prolong his T20 career as he wanted to focus on the single format of the game. The wicketkeeper-batter was in tremendous touch during the ODI World Cup 2023 as he finished the tournament as the third-highest run-getter with 594 runs in 10 matches.
Quinton de Kock has also enjoyed a successful T20I career in the Proteas jersey so far. The soon-to-be 31-year-old batter has amassed a total of 2277 runs in 80 T20Is at a strike rate of 137.33. He is also South Africa’s run-getter in the T20I format.

Why is Quinton de Kock not playing SA vs IND T20I?
The wicketkeeper is not a part of the South African squad for the T20I series against India. The selectors have decided to give him the much-needed rest after a gruelling World Cup.
South Africa cricket are focusing on the players’ mental health and they are doing workload management as well. Focusing on the same, the selectors have allowed Quinton de Kock to take a break before he returns and start preparing for the upcoming T20 World Cup in 2024. de Kock will miss the whole tour against India as he has already retired from the ODI and Test cricket.
