Prashant made his domestic debut in the List A fixture against Puducherry in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2020/21 and scalped 5 wickets, which made him the permanent member of the team. He continued his form in the next season and was bought by Chennai Super Kings team in IPL 2022 Auction.

With a bright future, Prashant Solanki is expected to one of the very few spinners coming from Mumbai to feature for the Indian team in the coming years.

Prashant has featured in 9 List A matches, and has scalped a total of 21 wickets with an economy of 5.96. His best figures of 5/48 was against Pudcherry in his debut match. He has played only 1 T20 match for Mumbai team against Baroda in November 2021 against Baroda in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2021. His only T20 wicket is of then Baroda captain, Krunal Pandya.

He had to discontinue playing in the SMAT after he tested covid positive. But he soon returned to List A cricket and was second highest wicket taker with 6 dismissals in 3 matches for Mumbai in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021/22.
