Noah Nirmal Tom is an Indian athlete who was part of the Indian mixed relay team of 4×400 m relay event at the 2019 World Athletics Championships. Tom represents India in 400m and 4×400 m relay race. The Indian Mixed relay team of Muhammad Anas, VK Vismaya, Jisna Mathew and Noah Nirmal finished at third place in the championships and also secured a berth in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Born in November 1994, Nirmal Tom’s current world ranking position for Men’s 400 m in 99 while the men’s overall ranking is 2022. He has won two Gold Medals in National Championships and is eyeing a medal for the nation in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.
He will be representing India in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics along with Muhammad Anas, VK Vismaya, Jisna Mathew. In the 2019 World Athletics Championships relay race of 4×400 m, Muhammad Anas took the first lap and passed the baton to VK Vismaya who maintained the lead during most of the second lap. Jisna Mathews took the third lap, but a baton fumble while passing it to Tom nearly cost their chances before Tom edged in to give India a third-place finish.
