Controversies
- Ashraful made some headlines in March 2008 when he slapped a fan who called him “refuse” while he was preparing at an indoor arena in Dhaka. This occurred when Ashraful was as a rule intensely reprimanded in the media for his poor structure with the bat and faulty strategies on the field as commander. The BCB fined him 25% of his pay for the long stretch of March 2008 for disregarding the Code of Conduct. He later apologized for the episode.
- Mohammad Ashraful confessed to spot-fixing amid the 2013 Bangladesh Premier League.[90][91] The Bangladesh Cricket Board responded quickly by suspending him from all types of the diversion incidentally until the ICC’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit presents its report on examinations concerning fixing.
