- He started playing cricket when he was just eight years old. Eventually, he went to Kashipur Cricket Academy from where he was first selected for the under 14 National Cricket Tournament
- On March 2015, while touring with his team in New Zealand for a cricket series, they were just moments away from entering the Al Noor mosque in Christchurch, when a terrorist attacked the Mosque killing more than 50 people. He along with his teammates were rescued at the right moment. This incident brought him a such a depression that he soon after coming back to Bangladesh he decided to marry his long term fiancee Rabeya Akhter Priti to overcome the effect of the attack.
