Mayanti Langer is born and brought up in New Delhi, India. She is the daughter of retired army officer Lt. Gen. Sanjiv Langer, who worked with the UN, and Preminda Langer.

Mayanti completed her education at the Hindu College, University of Delhi. She has completed BA Honors. Since her childhood, she was inclined toward sports. She started her professional career with the show ‘Football Cafe’ on Zee Sports.
Mayanti always had an interest in football, which grew during her childhood days that she spent in the USA. She became a guest anchor for a broadcast of FIFA beach football. With the success of the same, she was rewarded with her first spot as host and associate producer for ‘Football Café’ on Zee Sports.
