Kuhnemann was born in Brisbane in 1996 and started his cricketing journey by representing Queensland at the Under-17 level. He quickly progressed to the Australia Under-19s, where he played alongside some of Australia’s future stars, including Matt Renshaw and Jhye Richardson.
Kuhnemann’s progress in cricket was slowed down due to the presence of Mitchell Swepson, another talented spinner from Queensland. However, he was offered a full contract in 2019 and made his international debut in 2021. He has also played 13 first-class games, 28 List A matches and 36 T20s, where he has been a consistent performer.

While Kuhnemann’s international career is still in its early stages, he has shown promise with the ball in his hand.
