Ahead of the Test series down under, India is playing a pink ball practice match against Australia A. The match started today morning and Jasprit Bumrah was at his absolute best. No. He didn’t get a 5-fer nor a hat-trick, but he took down Australian bowlers with ease and scored his first-ever first-class fifty. And to add more spice to the story, he was the highest run-scorer for India in that innings. Unbelievable stuff from Boom Boom!
Bumrah scores fifty rescues Team India from a collapse
India started off their innings quite well as Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill scored scores in excess of 40 each. But right after their wickets fell, the Indian batting order collapsed like a pack of cards. They went from 102/2 to 132/9 in quick time. None of the batsmen in the middle order could register a two-digit score. And right when everyone thought that India would get all out inside 150 mark, Jasprit Bumrah came to the rescue.

He along with Mohamad Siraj batted long enough for the last wicket and took the Indian score to 194. Bumrah starred with the bat as he scored his maiden fifty in first-class cricket. He scored 55 runs off just 57 balls. His exploits included 6 fours and 2 maximums. He even reached the milestone by hitting a six while he was on 47.
