Mumbai Indians had yet another comfortable win in this edition of the Indian Premier League which took them to the top of the table. There were many noteworthy performances by the Men in Blue but one gesture from a certain Jasprit Bumrah caught the eyes of fans who couldn’t stop praising him.
Jasprit Bumrah’s warm gesture wins hearts
Cricket in the IPL is played with lots of emotions and tension hangs in the air as each and every boundary, every wicket and even every single ball is an event in itself. Tempers usually fly high as players wear their hearts on the sleeves and express all sorts of emotions on the field. During the match between reigning champions Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders, there was one particular gesture from fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah that won him accolades from the netizens.
It was during the 18th over of the first innings where KKR was batting that Jasprit Bumrah came on to bowl his final over. He had already picked up the dangerous Andre Russell in his spell and was looking to break the flourishing partnership between Eoin Morgan and Pat Cummins.
On the last ball he almost achieved what he set out for by taking the top edge of Pat Cummins’s bat. It was a skier and keeper Quinton de Kock called for the catch but unfortunately dropped it. Jasprit Bumrah sported a wry smile and then went to his teammate to pat on his shoulder. This warm gesture had fans appreciating him and this also showed what Mumbai Indians are all about.
The Best Thing about #MI is they won't get upset or angry for any slight misfield or dropped catches…instead they back them to get it right next time..
Just now Bumrah just went to Quinton and told him it's.. Ok.. Happens.. ?

Not the first time that Jasprit Bumrah is showing compassion
Jasprit Bumrah comes across as a young ruthless fast bowler who has the ability to bang on the helmet of batsman. But deep down there’s a personality that shows how compassionate that person is. When tensions were at their highest level imaginable on a cricket field during the 2019 IPL finals, Quinton de Kock conceded four byes which reduced the target for chasing side, CSK.
A normal fast bowler and a captain would have showed visible frustration but not Jasprit Bumrah and Rohit Sharma. Jasprit Bumrah went near the keeper and consoled him which was exactly what he needed at that moment and yesterday was a repeat of the same.
