Australian cricketer, Delissa Kimmince is also an Australian Rules footballer. She had struggled in deciding her career options before she found her love for cricket which she began playing at the age of 8.
In October 2015, Delissa was named the captain of Queensland Fire replacing Jodie Fields who was suffering from the shoulder injury. Later in January 2017, she stepped down from her captaincy and Kirby Short replaced her.
For Cricket Australia’s 2018–19 season, Kimmince was one of the 14 players to win a national contract. In the 2018 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 competition in the West Indies, she was included in Australia’s team. In the 2018–19 Women’s Big Bash League season, she was named to the Sydney Thunder team. In advance of the season 2019–20, Cricket Australia offered her a contract.
