Deepak Hooda, is the only Baroda batsman to score an FC hundred on his debut (2014-15). He shot into limelight with his 22-ball fifty for the Rajasthan Royals in 2015. Hooda was the second highest run-scorer as well as the second highest wicket-taker in the 2014 U-19 World Cup in New Zealand.

In his debut IPL season for the Rajasthan Royals’ Hooda’s swashbuckling hitting put hi into the spotlight. The lanky marauder of the cricket ball, Hooda scored 151 runs in 14 matches at a strike-rate of 158.94. He was subsequently picked up by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for a whopping Rs 4.2 Crores in the succeeding season.
Hooda’s turning point came when he scored a riveting double-hundred for Baroda in the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy season for Baroda. He was, then named in India’s T20I squad for the 3-match series against Sri Lanka.
