Chinki Yadav Shooter: Born on 26 November 1997, Chinki Yadav is an Indian shooter who secured a quota place for India at the 2020 Summer Olympics by qualifying for the final of the 2019 Asian Shooting Championships. Chinki competes in the 25-metre pistol event.
Early life:
Chinki Yadav hails from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Her family lived in a single-room dormitory in the premises of the Tatya Tope Nagar Sports Complex. Her father, Mehtab Singh Yadav, worked as an electrician. Chinki took up pistol shooting in 2012 and decided to make a career in it.
She trained at the Madhya Pradesh Shooting Academy under coach Jaspal Rana. Her younger brother Rajesh Yadav chose shotgun but “did not pursue it as seriously as Chinki”.
