His father admitted him in Toronto Cricket Academy, Canada at early age. Then at the age of 10, he brought Ansh to Ahmedabad and met former India coach Anshuman Gaekwad, who told them to wait until Ansh turns 12 to kickstart his career in domestic cricket. In 2012, the whole family shifted to India after Anshuman Gaekwad realized the talent of 12 year old, Ansh Patel.

Ansh went on to feature in U14 and U16 West Zones team. Then, his performance of 385 runs and 39 wickets in 5 matches for Baroda in Vijay Merchant Trophy helped him to get selected in National Cricket Academy’s U16 camp in 2018. In 2021, he made his debut for Baroda state team in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021. While playing for Reliance Sports Club, he provided all round contributions to help the team reach Playoffs of HD Zaveri Three Day Tournament 2021/22, and was named in Punjab Kings squad for IPL 2022.

Ansh has played 4 T20s in Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament 2021, and managed to pick up a single wicket in limited opportunities. Overall, he has been a fine all rounder for various sides in the Local tournaments. In 47 matches, he has picked up 122 wickets and accumulated 1594 runs.

In the H D Zaveri Premier League Three Day Tournament 2021-22 organized by Baroda Cricket Association, Ansh Patel scalped 14 wickets in 5 matches and amassed 147 runs.

Ansh plays for the Reliance Sports Club in Baroda Corporate tournaments, and thereby was a net bowler for Mumbai Indians in the last edition of the IPL. In Indian Premier League 2022 Auction, Ansh Patel was bought by Punjab Kings for his base price of 20 Lakhs.
