Shoaib Akhtar holds the record of the fastest ball ever recorded at a speed of 161.3 km/h.

• Once caught red handed tampering the ball in 2003 in Sri Lanka. He was banned for some matches for tampering the ball
• Once hit his teammate Mohammad Asif with bat for spending his money for partying. Mohammad Asif and Shahid Afridi went all bonkers with Shoaib’s money which made him angrier as he also had a bad day on the ground
• Criticised Indian legends Rahul Dravid and Sachin tendulkar on their batting techniques in his book, “Controversially Yours”
• Banned for five years for violating the players’ code of conduct in 2008
• In the popular Indian TV Show when Shoaib Akhtar was  a guest alongside Harbhajan Singh, he took a dig in the former PCB head and the state of national cricket

• Shoaib Akhtar holds the record of the fastest ball ever in the history of cricket against England in the ICC World Cup 2003 in Cape Town, South Africa. He bowled at a speed of 161.3 kmph or 100.2 miles per hour
• Shoaib Akhtar was an atlete as well in his school days and he was a very good sprinter
• Shoaib Akhtar had a very different training when he was growing up. He used to pick up rocks and would bowl them on the mountains where he grew up. He even used throw bricks that gave him his strength
• According to Shoaib Akhtar, the fastest bowler he ever saw was Mohammad Zahid of Pakistan
