Controversies
- After his decision of converting into Islam, his mother was very much in shock to accept it. As per the Daily Times Newspaper: ” she said that I don’t want to give my name after what Yousuf has done. Also, she stated that she came to know about his decision when he was offered Friday prayer in a local mosque.
- In the year 2007, he was trapped in a controversy in which he signed a contract to join the Indian Cricket League, which he has to refuse due to the pressure from the Pakistan Cricket Board as he would be ban by the board. And in return, PCB promised Yousuf to get him a place to play in IPL (Indian Premier League) but no team bid for him. Again in 2008, he decides to join ICL after that PCB dropped him out of their squad.
