Controversies
During the 2008 Sydney Test, Harbhajan was involved in the ‘Monkeygate scandal’ where the Aussie all-rounder Andrew Symonds alleged of racially abusing him, Bhajji was handed a ban of one Test match thereafter.
In the 2008 edition of the IPL, Harbhajan was involved in an ugly spat with KXIP’s Shreesanth, and slapped him after the former’s side had lost their game.
Bhajji’s Royal Stag whisky ad commercial attracted a lot of flake from the Sikh community.
