The India Olympics 2020 campaign has been disappointing, average, and impressive in different sports. The athletes from shooting and table tennis who were the medal hopes, did not play as per their potential. While, archery and wrestling, badminton, and boxing has seen mixed performances. In the game of Hockey and atheltics, the players have been successful in generating interest of the viewers. The men’s hockey team won the bronze medal, while women;s hockey team played quite well but failed to win their bronze medal match against Great Britain. Only few medal hopes are remaining in the last 2 days of Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
India Olympics Schedule for 7 August, Day 15
The Indian athletes will compete in only 3 sporting events on 7 August, Day 15.
One of the big medal hopes for the Indian contingent, Aditi Ashok impressed the World no. 1 Nelly Korda and has maintained a good form over 4 days tournament.

The ace wrestler from India, Bajrang Punia lost a semifinal bout to Kyrgystan’s Ernazar Akmatalievand will play bronze medal match.
Wrestling: Bajrang Punia– 65 Kg Freestyle Bronze Medal match- 3:15 PM IST (tentative)
The youngster was terrific in the qualification round and attained automatic qualification after throwing a discus for 86.65m.
Athletics: Neeraj Chopra– Men’s Javelin throw Final- 4:30 PM IST
Records broken by Indian athletes in Tokyo Olympics 2020
The Indian men’s hockey team ended a 41 year drought and won a medal in the Olympics. The Indian team won the gold medal in 1980 Olympics.
In the women’s hockey, the team advanced to the semi-finals for the first time in history of Olympics.
Until August 6th, India has won 2 Silver and 3 Bronze medals in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. This medal tally has already surpassed the 2 medals, the Indian contingent won in 2016.
