Wrestlemania 34 arrived, live from New Orleans with an attendance of 78,133 people and millions watching at home. The match card was booked, titles on the line streaks to defend, anticipation building. With 14 matches and 9 titles on the line, fans knew the night was going to be fun and full of surprises. Here are the top 10 shocking moments from Wrestlemania 34.

#10 Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy Join Forces

The most shocking moment right off the bat happened during the first match. The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, the last three were Mojo Rawley, Baron Corbin and Matt Hardy when suddenly Bray Wyatt came out and helped Matt win.

Ever since Broken Hardy started in TNA, fans have been begging to see a feud between them and the Wyatt Family or the two joining forces.

#9 Naomi pulls a Miz        

The women’s Battle Royal match was quite entertaining. A huge part of the NXT women’s division was in the match. Mid-match all the NXT women ganged up on the other’s and tried to start an “NXT” chant but to no avail.

The finale saw The Riot Squad, Natalya, Banks and Bayley and the last two were Banks and Bayley. Bayley eliminated Banks only to be eliminated by Naomi who went under the ropes mid-match and waited for her opportunity.

#8 Seth wins the WWE Intercontinental Championship

What can be a good contender for Match of the Night, the Triple Threat for the WWE Intercontinental Championship between Seth Rollins vs The Miz vs Finn Bálor?

The match was a technical spot fest with three of the most hardworking and technical workers in the WWE. Moves after moves after moves. Seth won with a Curb Stomp on The Miz.

#7 Charlotte breaks the Streak

Another Match of the Night contender with two incredible women of the Women’s Division leaving it all on the Grandest Stage of them All. The match saw some great spots such as Charlotte’s moonsault being counted into a submission hold by Asuka, only to have that counted into a Boston Crab by Charlotte.

The match was highly anticipated as Charlotte’s Smackdown’s Women’s Championship belt was on the line but also for Asuka, her winning streak. Unfortunately for Asuka, she lost and her streak was broken when Charlotte put in The Figure 8 submission hold.

#6 Rowdy Ronda Rousey

Oh My God! The biggest surprise of the night, how good was Ronda Rousey.  The match that was the weirdest on the match card. A mixed match between two veterans of the business, one former professional UFC champion and a mother of three.

This match surpassed everyone’s expectation and was one of the most fun matches to watch. Ronda making her debut proved she has what it takes to go a long way in the WWE.

#5 The Bludgeon Brothers are the new WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championships

The most surprising moment because no one expected this booking. The Bludgeon Brothers are now the new WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championships after they defeated The Usos and The New Day.

#4 The Undertaker arrives and wins in 2 minutes and 45 seconds against JOHN CENA!

This match was the worst match of the night. COME AT ME BROS!

All those who were waiting to hear “Deadman walking” followed by the opening of ‘Rollin’ and seeing the American Badass come out on his Harley? Disappointed!

All those waiting to see the fantasy dream match between The Phenom and Big Match John that would be 30 to 40 minutes long and also the retiring match for the Undertaker? Disappointed!

The Finale, going out in a blaze of glory match for the Deadman? No! Disappointed!

The match lasted for 2 minutes and 45 seconds was nothing but a squash match where Undertaker unloaded all his moves with John unable to even defend.

#3 Nakamura’s Heel Turn

After a huge match, the most anticipated match of the night. It lived up to the expectation and then took a sudden turn. AJ won after hitting Nakamura with the Styles Clash and after what seemed like Nakamura was paying respect to AJ, hit AJ with a low blow.

After that Nakamura brutalized AJ on the outside of the ring solidifying his Heel turn.

#2 Braun’s mystery partner is a Kid

While everyone was expecting Big Cass, Samoa Joe, Big Show etc as the mystery partner for Braun in the Tag Team match for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship. Nope!

Braun goes into the crowd and picks a ‘Plant’(a plant is trained person or actor put into the crowd by the WWE to be selected to participate in a match or event at random). Braun and Nicholas are the new WWE Raw Tag Team Champions.

#1 Brock Retains

Roman wins? NO! Heyman betrays Brock? No! The entire match was nothing but trying to get the fans feel bad for Roman. Brock hits Roman with over 9000 F5s and he still kicks out.

Brock busts Roman’s skull open, he still kicks out. The whole match was for the WWE to show Roman’s willpower. Brock brutalizes Roman, dominates Roman, conquered Roman, but still post-match, Roman’s never giving up the spirit.
