It’s Ronaldo’s and Neymar’s B’day! 5th February- the day to be born with a golden shoe?

There is something special about 5th February, it is a date that has produced a lot of football greats, Ronaldo and Neymar being the biggest modern stalwarts. While Neymar is turning 26, Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is celebrating his 33rd birthday today. As fate would have it, two of the three world’s best footballers Neymar and Ronaldo, were born on the same day seven years apart.
BALLON D’OR TITLES:
While Neymar who was nominated for the coveted title in 2015 and 2017, Cristiano Ronaldo has won it five times. Cristiano Ronaldo won his first at the age of 23 in 2008. The honour came after a blistering season with Manchester United which ended him winning Champions League in Moscow.
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WINS:
Ronaldo won the Champions League as a 23 old year old with Manchester United and Neymar also achieved this milestone with Barcelona at the same age in 2015.
INTERNATIONAL ACCOLADES:
While none of them have a World Cup to their name, Neymar has higher goal stakes when it comes to International football. The Portuguese has scored 53 goals in 83 caps till date.
Ronaldo, at 26, had turned out 80 times for Portugal and netted 25 goals. Since then, Ronaldo has gone to score 44 more goals.
Other football biggies like Carlos Tevez, 32, Adnan Januzaj, 21, Patrick Roberts, 19, Jordan Rhodes, 26, Vedran Corluka, 30, Gheorghe Hagi, 51, and Rodrigo Palacio, 34, were also born on this day.
