The Pakistan Super League has been rocked by spot-fixing controversy, as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Anti-Corruption Tribunal handed a one-year ban and a fine of Rs 1 million to batsman Shahzaib Hassan, for his involvement in spot-fixing saga last year.
Hassan now joines the likes of Sharjeel Khan, Nasir Jamshed, Khalid Latif, Mohammad Irfan and Mohammad Nawaz to have faced the suspension for their involvement in spot-fixing. Hasan has been found guilty of breaching two counts of clause 2.4.4 of the PCB Anti Corruption code, where he failed to report a corrupt approach and 2.4.5, which is levied against a player failing to report of incidents they are aware of.
Hasan, who has featured in three ODIs and ten T20I for Pakistan, will have to go the rehabilitation process following the completion of the ban that ends March 18, 2018.
