Conor McGregor next fight and his recent bold claim

Conor McGregor seems all set for his next fight against Dustin Poirier which will complete the much anticipated trilogy. McGregor has recently made a bold statement that mentioned fighting is just too ‘easy’ for him. The Notorious One took to Twitter, while posting a series of tweets that indicated his awaited return for a classic UFC Fight Night.

One of the tweets by McGregor, which caught the eye of every MMA fan was about what he felt fighting was to him.
The Irishman is one of the hottest properties in the UFC, and his ability to trash talk with fluency makes him often get the headlines. His last fight against Dustin Poirier ended in defeat, as he got TKO’d in the second round. Nevertheless, McGregor did get the better of Poirier in the first fight.
In spite of the recent loss, Conor McGregor has maintained his confidence, enthusiasm and optimism going forward.
Conor McGregor is known to bounce back from disappointments, and a couple of examples are his fights against Nate Diaz and Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone. The Notorious sustained a hefty defeat to Nate Diaz through submission in the second round. But the 32-year-old returned in five months and got his revenge by beating Diaz via majority decision.
Conor and Khabib Nurmagomedov also got it on in UFC 229, where it was Nurmagomedov that got the big win through submission. McGregor returned in scintillating manner do beat MMA legend Donald Cerrone, through a first round TKO in UFC 246.
With a comeback just a few months away for McGregor, it isn’t by any means surprising to see the Notorious build the hype on social media.
Conor McGregor is geared up to compete in one of the most anticipated trilogy matchups in MMA history against arch rival, Dustin Poirier. The first fight went in favor of Connor, courtesy a first round TKO in UFC 178, way back in 2014.
The rematch at UFC 257 earlier this year, witnessed Poirier giving it back to McGregor as the score line now hangs in the balance by 1-1.
The third and final fight between the two established fighters is scheduled to take place at UFC 264 at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas. Conor McGregor’s next fight will happen on the July 10, 2021.
