Commonwealth Games India Medal Tally on 6 August

The Indian contingent has enjoyed a stellar performance at the 2022 Commonwealth Games (CWG) as they excelled in various sports. While Weightlifting has been the primary provider of medals in absence of shooting, India have still done well to make the nation proud.

India started its medals galore on the second day as Sanket Mahadeo Sargar won India a Silver in 55kg weightlifting category. After that the likes of Mirabai Chanu, Jeremy Lalrinnunga, Bajrang Punia have made the nation proud.
While India relied more on shooting down the years, this has been a different ball game in its absence. While the Table Tennis Women’s team event and Badminton mixed team event brought disappointment, India will still fancy their chances in other disciplines.
With the Paris Olympics not far, the the 2022 CWG are the perfect platform to build on for the Indian side.
