One of the best pacemen in limited-over cricket formats, Jasprit Bumrah finally gets his Test cap. Indian Cricket team kicks off their tour of South Africa today with the first match of the 3-match Test series at Cape Town. There would not have been a better challenge for the 24-year-old speedster than making Test debut in South Africa.

With successes in the past two years, Bumrah has climbed in the ICC rankings – both ODIs and T20Is. In his 31 one-day international (ODI) appearances so far, Jasprit Bumrah has claimed 56 wickets at a modest bowling average of 22.73. In T20Is, he has 40 wickets in 32 games.
Yesterday, Bumrah was named among the three players retained by IPL franchise Mumbai Indians. The ecstatic Bumrah took to Instagram and posted a picture in MI colours with the caption: “The best is yet to come.”
