Jasprit Bumrah is not someone who is known to be a livewire on the field like Jadeja or Raina. Of late, Bumrah has come to his own as a fielder. He turned heads with his superman effort on the field in the first T20I against South Africa at Johannesburg.
It was the 6th over of the South African innings. David Miller hooked Hardik Pandya’s first delivery of the match towards fine leg. Bumrah, keeping his eyes on the ball showed incredible athleticism to leap and keep the ball in play.

But, it turned out to be a SIX as per the new rules. Just when Bumrah was about to jump, he took a couple of steps back to tread on the ropes before lifting himself up to stop the ball.
As per the new rules, it will be given as a six when the last contact is on or beyond the ropes and not in the field of play. You got to give full credit for the sensational fielding.
Couple of days back, Bumrah had pulled a stunning running catch in the sixth ODI to send Farhaan Behardien back.
Sure, Bumrah’s fielding has gone couple of notches up on the tour.
