ब्रेट ली नें ऑस्ट्रेलिया दौरे के लिए किया कोहली का समर्थन

ऑस्ट्रेलिया के पूर्व तेज गेंदबाज ब्रेट ली नें भारतीय कप्तान विराट कोहली का समर्थन करते हुए कहा है कि वे एक अच्छी शृंखला खेलकर जाएंगे. भारतीय बल्लेबाज कोहली का पिछला ऑस्ट्रेलिया दौरा काफी शानदार रहा था. ऑस्ट्रेलिया में सन 2014 में खेलते हुए उन्होने 4 शतक बनाए थे. कोहली नें 86.50 की औसत से 692 रन बनाए थे. ब्रेट ली का मानना है कि विराट कोहली की रनों की भूख उनके लिए काफी अच्छा परिणाम लाएगी और वो काफी बड़े स्कोर करेंगे.

Lee Contradicts Cummins’ Prediction:

Former Australian pacer Brett Lee has backed India skipper Virat Kohli for having a successful series in Australia.

Indian batsman Kohli has had a prolific previous tour of Australia in 2014 when he scored four tons in the four-Test matches.

Kohli scored 692 runs at an average of 86.50 in the series.

Brett Lee believes that Kohli’s hunger for the runs is immense and this hunger for scoring more would yield results for him.

India is scheduled to play four Test matches in Australia later this year.

“Kohli has a lot to prove and he will prove this year why he’s so good,” Lee said.

“Kohli will have a massive year this year. I think he will get hundreds because I’ve never seen a guy so hungry,” he added.

Lee’s comment comes after Australian quick Pat Cummins made a bold, brave prediction that Kohli would fail to register a century this year during Australia tour.

McGrath had said that Australia needs to get the better of Indian captain to succeed in the tournament.

“I want to see the way Australians put pressure on Kohli and I would love to see how he handles it,” McGrath said.

“Kohli has got an aggressive attitude. And, last time when he was here, he showed that he was not going to take a step backwards.”

” It is going to be an interesting summer. If the Australian bowlers manage to handle the No.1 player and their captain, it will make the job much easier for the team.”

His only blip since then came in 2017 against Australia when he scored 46 runs at 9.20 across three Tests in the Border-Gavaskar Test series in India. But, Lee expects him to come stronger this time.
