No WAGs till 3rd Test match: BCCI
The Indian cricket team is gearing up for the upcoming Test Series starting from August 1. Evidently, many players are accompanied by their families and life partners. For instance, Virat Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma is present in England. Their pictures where they are seen hanging out with each other often make the rounds on the internet.
Same way Shikhar Dhawan and Umesh Yadav were also seen hanging around with their families. Sadly, all their spouses won’t be seen around till the end of the third test, BCCI has suggested.
According to the sources,”No wives and girlfriends will be allowed in the camp till the end of the third Test, according to a new rule. The players had a rest period of four days during which they spent time with their families. Now, they have arrived to Chelmsford for the practice session.”
Virat and Anushka were seen having a good time together at England and a few pictures of their outings were posted too. They also hang out with Shikhar Dhawan’s family. All their photos were posted on social media by these cricketers.

The player’s performance is important in the upcoming Test Series and if the players don’t come out victorious, their girlfriends and spouses would be roped in too. Hence, to be on the safer side, the team management has taken the above decision.
Previously, the players were allowed to accompany their wives. As a matter of fact, BCCI also proposed an idea of having a separate manager for the WAGS but The Committee of Administrators (COA) denied the permission for the same. The result of the first three test will play a crucial factor for India. The test series starts from August 1 in Birmingham. Before that, India will be facing Essex in a practice game in Chelmsford from July 25 to 28.
