The Jazz can’t close the perimeter

The Jazz has now allowed 40 total threes in the last two games and this has been the main reason for their downfall. Jalen has been turning it on but Maxi Kleber has made 12 total triples in the last game too, thus Gobert’s defensive impact has been negated, who usually does the damage inside. The Mavericks have thrown the Jazz’s defense in disarray.

On the other hand, Utah has been unable to match the three-point output on their own end and has been way behind percentage-wise. Donovan Mitchell has not done well from beyond the arc and shot just 1/8 from there in the last game. On the other hand, Bojan Bogdanovic has been a huge factor on the offensive end but that hasn’t been enough.

For the Mavs, the defense of Reggie Bullock and Dorian Finney-Smith has shown up while the team has done well in not letting the Jazz have an overwhelming rebounding edge, thanks to gang-rebounding. The Jazz needs more from the defensive end, the offense has been alright but it is the other end that needs fixing.
