SAC vs MIN Dream11: BREAKING NEWS: As I was writing this, the Kings traded Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, and Tristan Thompson to Pacers in exchange for Domantas Sabonis, Jeremy Lamb, and Justin Holiday. The NBA trade deadline ticks as on as the Pelicans also pulled the plug and brought in CJ McCollum, Larry Nance, Tony Snell in a trade which sent Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Josh Hart, 2022 first-round pick(5-14th protected), and second-round picks to the Trail Blazers. Soon, the market will flood with such deals as various Franchises change their direction. But hey, we have been talking about this for a long time now! Aren’t we! Anyway, let us jump into the game between the Sacramento Kings and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Talking about trades, don’t be surprised if the Sacramento Kings pull the plug. They are again way below the 50% win mark and perhaps it is time to break the current core(How many times do we do this “Kings rebuilding” bit?). Anyway, Buddy Hield would surely like a change of scenery while Fox has also been in rumors. Will we see Kings make wholesale changes and perhaps build around the backcourt of Davion Mitchell and Domantas Sabonis or do they keep the current core and develop it?
The Timberwolves have had a strong season and yes, they have some holes at the Power Forward position and the bench could use more balance but hey their main core has clicked these days and their offense is on the right track. They have won four in a row and are three games above the 50% win record. Can they make a stronger push as the postseason nears?

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis
Timberwolves: Great offensive squad
The Timberwolves have done well this season and after winning below 33% games last season, the core has gotten it together. Minnesota remain in contention for a top-six spot in the Western Conference which can give them immunity from the Play-in tournament. However, that is still a long shot and the Western Conference’s battle for the sixth spot can heat up with potentially Mavericks, Nuggets, and even with the Clippers, who have been emboldened. Minnesota may need to bolster the bench if anything because that is one area that can hold them back.
The team has extracted quality production from Anthony-Towns in the middle, who keeps supplying top-notching scoring and rebounding. Anthony Edwards continues to capitalize upon his athleticism and has improved his shooting as well. Meanwhile, D’Angelo Russell has been splashing shots but yes, he has been injured rather too much. Malik Beasley has been doing well off the bench while Jaden McDaniels has done well on the offensive end. Patrick Beverley is an all-around presence and a pesky defender. On the other hand, Jarred Vanderbilt provides hustle and rebounding but yes, the team can use a more effective bench.
Kings: Rebuild, rebuild, rebuild but to what end?
Here it is, once again, another tough season for the Kings. Frustration for fans and players alike as the management fails to pitch in an effective system. Sacramento has been having a tough season largely due to their inability to find a balanced lineup and ever since they shifted Buddy Hield to the bench, he has not grown home with his role. The Kings are again heading to the “draft high, keep drafting” territory and yes, this upcoming draft may end up playing a huge role because the strategy hasn’t panned out well. The Kings did trade for Sabonis so they have finally landed a star player.
De’Aaron Fox has figured in a bunch of rumors recently while Harrison Barnes has been a terrific wing but he may want to play for a more established team at this point. Richuan Holmes hasn’t played like last season and perhaps the eye injury has bothered him. Hield got traded to Pacers and frankly, this is for the best! The bench has fallen short and with Davis out for the season, the team has been unable to get depth from multiple positions. The team can also end up moving Marvin Bagley III, who has been disgruntled for a long time. Do you see how many candidates are eligible for trade as per many estimations?
