Portland has been in poor defense mode for a long time now but the arrival of Jerami Grant can cut some of those issues off. The other trouble for Portland has been that they haven’t been able to identify a viable depth that can withstand the rigors of the Western Conference. I am not sure that they addressed it this time around too but a guard rotation of Damian Lillard, Josh Hart, and Anfernee Simons does have a lot of variety. How will two-way Forward fit alongside Nurkic in the frontcourt, that is a decisive factor in my opinion?

Jazz hits rebuild mode
The Jazz Franchise gave up on the inside-outside punch of Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, trading both of these prolific players away in what was one of the biggest storylines in the offseason. They lack shot-creators in the backcourt while the frontcourt is only patched with Lauri Markkanen who can stretch the floor. It is difficult to see this Jazz team win at least 30 games at this point and their roster lacks both the finesse and depth at the moment. Let us see if they have some special gift for us..
