POR vs SAS DREAM11 MATCH PREVIEW:
San Antonio Spurs will be looking to snap their two-game losing streak when they host Portland Trail Blazers in an NBA match at AT&T Center, San Antonio, Texas, tomorrow on Monday morning (IST).
San Antonio Spurs:
For the 2nd game in a row, San Antonio Spurs lost by a margin of 30 points or more in an NBA match. Gregg Popovich was furious as his team fell to 14th in the Western Conference and look like a group not good enough to make a tilt at the playoff spots for the first time in many years.
Spurs faced Houston Rockets in the last match, and many NBA pundits billed the game as a battle between two fallen giants.
Rockets are not playing anywhere near the level they achieved last season where they racked up regular season’s best record – winning 65 games. James Harden’s team were on a four-game losing streak when they faced Spurs and ended up snapping it.
Popovich took the blame for his team’s loss in his post-match interview. While there are suggestions that the legendary head-coach is giving some players too many minutes on the court. Whatever it is, Spurs must solve their issue to stop the skid or they may fall behind the chasing pack.
Portland Trail Blazers:
Portland Trail Blazers, on the other hand, have hit a purple patch of their own in the last 10 games or so. Two days after napping their three games funk, they fell to Denver Nuggets in the last match, going down 112-113 in a closely fought match.
The hosts trailed early in the match as Nuggets won the first quarter 38-26, and also won the 2nd to stretch their lead to 15 at the break.
A 3rd quarter win saw the lead trimmed down to just six points as CJ McCollum scored 15 of his game-high 33 points in the fourth quarter. Al-Farouq Aminu had his best game of this season, scoring a massive 20 points. But it wasn’t enough as Nuggets held on to the lead and won when McCollum’s shot bounced off the bar at the buzzer.
Blazers slipped to 7th in the Western Conference after the loss.
Regular Season Record-
San Antonio Spurs: W-10, L-12
Portland Trail Blazers: W-13, L-9
Players to watch out for:
San Antonio Spurs:
DeMar DeRozan – He is struggling to meet his high standard in the last few games, but he remains key to San Antonio Spurs’ chances of making the playoffs this season. The former Toronto Raptors star is scoring 23.3 points per game.
LaMarcus Aldridge – The 33-year-old veteran scored 20 points in the last match, a game-high. He has been below-par as well, but he is a quality and it’s only a matter of time when things click for him.
Portland Trail Blazers:
Damian Lillard – The superstar and the undisputed king of Portland Trail Blazers is Damian Lillard and he is more than living up to his name and talent this season. The 28-year-old is on fire if scoring heavily is what it mean. Surely a candidate to be your star in your NBA fantasy team.
CJ McCollum – There are only three players in Portland Trail Blazers’ rank who are averaging in the double digits and one of them is CJ McCollum. The 27-year-old guard is dropping 21.4 points per game.

INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:
It’s a battle between the two teams struggling for some consistency these days. Spurs are at home where they have a positive record, while Blazers have split their record on the road.
