OKC vs PHX DREAM11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Oklahoma City Thunder will look to keep their winning streak going when they host one of the worst performing teams in NBA this season, Phoenix Suns, at Chesapeake Energy Arena, in Oklahoma City, on Tuesday morning.
Oklahoma City Thunder:
If you were wondering after watching Oklahoma City Thunder decimating Houston Rockets 98-80 just a few days ago if their winning streak could be snapped before they face Golden State Warriors on 22nd November this year then you would have been excused saying ‘Probably Not’ because their fixture list is too benign before they make a tough trip to Oakland. Also, Oklahoma are winning games by simply playing better on a day and doing so without Russell Westbrook in the last few matches.
Thunder headed into this match on a seven-game winning streak and were considered an out-and-out favourite against Dallas Mavericks who had a 3-8 record before this match, winning only once in the last eight. But sports is a level playing ground and the stories of Davids and Goliaths certainly hold true here. Mavericks, despite being an underdog, and despite their starters not proving to a match for the 1st unit of visitors, won 111-96 in front of their fans.
This feat was possible and perhaps the lightning may not strike twice as J. J. Barea came off the bench, was given 22 minutes and dropped 21 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds in the match. Simply put, he was the difference and perhaps a man who wasn’t given a too much importance in the pre-match review of Mavericks’ players.
Phoenix Suns:
How bad things can go for Phoenix Suns at this moment? If their 21-61 record of the last season was the worst in both the divisions last season, their 2-10 record shows no signs of improvement whatsoever.
Out of the 12 games, Suns have played seven games at home and won twice. While they have lost all the five games on the road so far this season.
In the last match, New Orleans Pelicans beat them 119-99 which was the first time in the last 10 games that they won by a margin of 10 or more points; Suns were poor and couldn’t take advantage of their opponents’ fragilities. T.J. Warren scored 25 points, Deandre Ayton led with 20 and grabbed 12 rebounds.
Regular Season Record-
Oklahoma City Thunder: W-7, L-5
Phoenix Suns: W-2, L-10
Players to watch out for:
Oklahoma City Thunder:
Dennis Schroder- Somebody had to fill in for the injured superstar Russell Westbrook and Dennis Schroder, more or less, was spot on in his absence. The 25-year-old dropped a game-high 28 points in the 95-86 win over Cleveland Cavaliers.
Paul George – The former Indiana Pacers star the man-to-go when Westbrook is not on the teamsheet. George is only the 2nd player in Thunder team to average in the 20s this season. Definitely a candidate for ‘Star’ in your NBA Fantasy team.
Phoenix Suns:
Devin Booker – He is a star in Phoenix, Suns’ best player by a mile this season, and the only player to average in the 20s for them so far. Devin Booker is averaging 26.5points per game for them, undoubtedly he deserves better results. He is also first in assists chart for Phoenix at the moment.
Deandre Ayton – The 20-year-old had a good game against New Orleans Pelicans as he scored 20 points which are significantly higher of his 15.7 points per game. He is leading rebounds charts with his 10.8 contributions per game.
