NYK vs OKC Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
New York Knicks will be looking for their first win in six games when they host Oklahoma City Thunder in an NBA match at Madison Square Garden, in the New York City borough of Manhattan, on Tuesday morning (IST).
New York Knicks came within a whisker to snap their four-game streak when Noah Vonleh’s one-handed finish put the team ahead at 100-99 with just 33 seconds remaining in the regulation time. But the match had more drama for the London crowd who flooded the O2 arena for the NBA spectacle.
Thomas Bryant jumped high and almost dunked the ball into the hoop. But Allonzo Trier blocked him and was called for goaltending which went in favor of Wizards. The Knicks lost the match 101-99, their fifth consecutive loss. They remain 13th in the Western Conference with a 10-34 record so far in the season.
New York will be playing their next two games at home against Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets.
Oklahoma City Thunder meanwhile snapped their own skid against Philadelphia 76ers as they won 115-117 at Wells Fargo Center Philadelphia. This was Thunder’s only fifth win in the last seven games. With a 27-18 record, they are now third in the Western Conference table.
Regular Season Record-
New York Knicks: W-10, L-34
Oklahoma City Thunder: W-27, L-18
Players to watch out for:
New York Knicks:
Tim Hardaway Jr. –Knicks are missing the services of Kristaps Porzingis dearly this season. But Tim Hardaway Jr. has stepped up his game to some degrees and is leading the charge for his team. The California-born shooting guard is averaging 19.5 points per game, 2.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game as well.
Emmanuel Mudiay – Considering he is just 22, Emmanuel Mudiay is having a good season. The 2015 1st round pick is going for 14.8 points per game on 16.02 per performance. It’s a good return and shows his potential.
Oklahoma City Thunder:
Paul George –Dug his team out in the last match against Philadelphia 76ers as Oklahoma City Thunder returned to winning ways. The former Indiana Pacers star is dropping 26.7 points per game this season. The numbers he has produced in some games are fantastic and his consistency has been phenomenal as well, a big reason why Thunder are so high in the Western Conference table.
Russell Westbrook – A Few weeks ago he admitted that he is struggling and even blame himself for Thunder’s uncanny performances this season. The 2017 NBA MVP is still averaging 21.8 points per game and is racking up rebounds and assists in the double figures as well, something no player has done this season. Still, he is not happy with his performance and it reveals about his mentality and how high he thinks of himself. But one more thing that he really has failed to live up to his potential.
NYK vs OKC Dream11 TEAM NEWS:
New York Knicks:
Injured – One of Knicks’best players last season Kristaps Porzingis has missed the entire season leading up to this match. The 23-year-old is still recovering from a knee injury and won’t be returning any time soon.
Questionable – Knicks played their last game in London and Enes Kanter gave the match a miss due to safety reason. The reason being that the Turkish-born star commented about the current government in charge in his country, and he didn’t feel safe to travel to London. He may or may not play this game.
Suspended – None.
