In the last Playoffs, the perimeter defense of Jrue and the inside defense of Brook went to another level that caused a lot of disruptions for the Eastern squads. The trouble for the Mavs has been their performances away from home, while they are usually not terrible away from home, their offensive and defensive intensity can both lack during various periods. At any rate, even if they don’t end up with the third spot and get the fourth rank, they will still have the four out of seven games home-court advantage.

And when it is Playoffs, superstars like Luka rise up to the occasion and he has been surrounded by wonderful defenders and complementary role players. Brunson and Dinwiddie as the other Point Guards will be crucial for the Mavs to make deep Playoff runs and if both of them don’t give consistent production, the Mavericks can face a lot of trouble. Reggie Bullock, Dorian Finney-Smith, Dwight Powell, and Maxi Kleber have all given great defensive support and they are also filling decently for the rest of the offense. Can the Mavericks finish the season on a high?
