Not only did the 76ers miss their premier Center Embiid in terms of scoring, their rebounding was also highly compromised in the last battle. The Heat did a great job of sealing the perimeter and the 76ers had to go through what the Hawks did in the First Round, a complete denial of perimeter opportunities.
