LAL vs PHX Dream11: The NBA Preseason is on and the action has gone as expected as we haven’t seen the full strength of any squads so far. Preseason is about making the final tweaks to the roster, to see what deep bench players will stay and what players can enjoy a bigger role. But apart from that, it is just getting the legs back for what will be a long season again. In this Preseason match-up, the Los Angeles Lakers will take on the Phoenix Suns.
If the last game was any barometer, the Lakers failed miserably losing 75-105 despite Anthony Davis’ quickfire double-double. With that loss, the Lakers have now lost seven preseason games in a row.
On the other hand, the Suns suffered a surprise defeat at the hands of the Adelaide 36ers, losing 124-134 despite Cameron Payne’s 23 points effort.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis
Lakers: Same old?
The Preseason game wasn’t a soothing adventure for the Lakers’ fanbase who realized that the team may have some cracks when they lost all of the six games in the last edition’s preseason. Still, it is early days, and the core of LeBron, Davis, and Westbrook will have to prove the doubters wrong, especially Westbrook. The idea of bringing Dennis Schroder seems like a wise one but the trouble is fitting in the guard pieces and again, the team does seem to lack a laser shooter from deep. Even if Davis can play Center, the Lakers will need their bigs such as Thomas Bryant to come up big time and be a strong cover for Anthony.
Suns: How will they respond?
A loss to the 36ers has to hurt, after all, they lost to a non-NBA team and in a rather embarrassing fashion, with their three-point defense looking completely fazed out. But hey, it is clear that it wasn’t their best effort on defense either, far from it, and for a team that lost to Mavs in seven games last season after being up three-two and entering Playoffs with the best record, there are concerns to be ironed out. The roster is stacked from top to bottom and it will not be a surprise if the Suns make it to at least the Western Semis again. But what about a deep run?
