For Indiana (38-20), keeping up the momentum is their primary target for the season. They have exceeded expectations to some extent as they sit at 3rd in the Eastern Conference. However, Basketball is like no other game, the luck has little room to fiddle with the proceedings. That’s why Pacers are no lucky team, they are 3rd because they deserve on the basis of their consistency throughout the season.

Building for the future:
After the transfer debacle involving their prized asset Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans know one thing that their future lies away from Davis.

The team hierarchy has taken a big decision in that regard and the word is that Anthony Davis will be on a minutes restriction for the rest of the season.

That’s a big, big call and perhaps propelled by the fact that Pelicans (26-33 and 13th in the Western Conference) have a little chance of making into the playoffs.

Bojan Bogdanovic – With Victor Oladipo out with an injury, Bojan Bogdanovic will have to pull the strings for his team. And the 29-year-old is capable of performing as a leader, as he has been doing in the last 10 games or so, dropping points at 20.3 per game.

Domantas Sabonis – An indispensable part of the team, Domantas Sabonis’ contribution comes from all department. The 22-year-old is racking up the team’s 3rd most points per game this season, and is leading the rebounds charts as well for Pacers this season.

New Orleans Pelicans:
Anthony Davis –  He has been with New Orleans Pelicans since 2012, and look how big a player he has become that the whole NBA is after him, for his signature as he is set to become a free agent come the next summer. The 25-year-old is scoring points at 28.1 points per game this season.

Jrue Holiday – The 28-year-old is averaging 21.1 points per game for New Orleans Pelicans. He is also accumulating 7.9 points per game.
