Houston Rockets can wrap up the first round NBA playoffs series when they host Utah Jazz in game-5 at Toyota Center, in downtown Houston, Texas, on Thursday morning (IST).

The series stays alive as Utah Jazz just refused to be swept aside in the first round series as they forced game-5 after winning the fourth match 107-91 at Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Jazz were really motivated to win the match against an opponent who overpowered and overmatched them for the better part of the series. They played for their pride and gave their fans a night to remember, a comeback to discuss and perhaps the small ray of the belief that perhaps, maybe just, there may be some life in this series.

For Rockets missed shots after shots, yeah they mat still be missing. They went 0-13 from beyond the arc and 4-20 from the field in a pathetic and a horrendous fourth quarter which produced just 12 points for Rockets.

While Utah scored 31 points and managed to force the 5th game. If Jazz win the next game, it’s worth noting that the sixth game will be played at Vivint Smart Home Arena, and anything can happen in a home game.

Houston Rockets:
James Harden – Game-3 showed that he is a human, ordinary human who can make mistakes. While the fourth game, and especially the fourth quarter in that match proved that again for he missed too many shots and allowed Utah Jazz to make a comeback.

But James Harden is the only player to average in the 30s this season, averaging 36.5 points per game. He is too good a player to have too many off nights. And you wonder that despite struggling for some moments in the last match, the reigning MVP still managed to rack up 30 points.

Chris Paul – Big game players raise their games when the situations demands and Chris Paul is certainly living up to the demands of the playoffs. The former Los Angeles Clippers guard is racking up 18.0 points per game in the post-season.

Utah Jazz:
Donovan Mitchell – It’s for his efforts that Utah Jazz forced a game-5 against Houstons Rockets. He is that kind of player who deserves a deep run in the playoffs, certainly for his efforts and consistency this season.

In the last two games, the 22-year-old shooting guard scored a combined 65 points, which shows how much he wants to win this series.

Ricky Rubio – So far in the post-season, he has emerged as Utah Jazz’s second highest scorer, outperforming Rudy Gobert in the first four matches. The 28-year-old point guard has registered a remarkable 32 assists and had 9 steals in those games. Incredible!
