GSW vs LAC Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Los Angeles Clippers will have their task cut out as they look to end their four-game skid against the mighty Golden State Warriors at Staples Center, in Los Angeles, on Saturday morning (IST).
Los Angeles Clippers:
All the good work that the Los Angele Clippers did at the start of the season can help the team in only holding a place in the top-8 at the moment. There’s no guarantee though that they would continue to be in the playoff positions. And the reason is simple, they are losing too many games, while the other teams are making up with good streaks of their own.
The Los Angeles Clippers are in a free fall, coming into their next encounter on a four-game losing streak, not a good way to face the challenge that comes with competing against Warriors.
Golden State Warriors:
Just one point separated Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans after the end of the third quarter. But that’s not the full story. The one point advantage that the Warriors had going into the last quarter didn’t delve into the real events which unfolded in the third quarter.
Steve Kerr’s men looked jaded for the most part of the game and that’s not a surprise considering their high-octane 41 points win over Denver Nuggets in the altitude. The defense lacked its usual stoutness, and the Pelicans continued to pour points at will.
The Dubs lost the first quarter 31-39, pulled back with a 35-32 advantage in the 2nd quarter. However, Anthony Davis’ and his men continued to surge and took a mammoth 96080 at the start of the quarter. But then we all know the love affair between Warriors and the third quarter, in particular.
Stephen Curry came in his own, ended up scoring 20 points in this quarter alone. He was the driving force behind Warriors’ 30-13 run in that period to go ahead at 110-109 at the end of the third quarter.
Regular Season Record-
Los Angeles Clippers: W-24, L-20
Golden State Warriors: W-31, L-14
Players to watch out for:
Los Angeles Clippers:
Tobias Harris –He is a consistent player, always gives his best and makes a good contribution in every game. The 26-year-old has a 7-year experience as a professional Basketball player and is now reaching his prime. He has the potential to improve his stats, something which is quite evident in his big game performances. The New York-born small forward is averaging 20.7 points per game this season.
Danilo Gallinari – He is a big reason for the Los Angeles Clippers’ good position in the Western Conference table. The 30-year-old Italian is averaging 189.4 points per game. His consistent level could be seen from the fact that the last game was only the second instance this season where the former New York Knicks star failed to score in the double digits.
Golden State Warriors:
Stephen Curry –There is nothing out of bounds for Stephen Curry on a Basketball court. He can do some incredible things or perhaps he is too good that he doesn’t need to be at full potential against some of the least fancied teams. But when the big games come calling, you can be sure about his quality and influence. Take for example the clash against Pelicans. The two-time NBA MVP took the game in his strides and dropped a game-high 41 points, taking his average to just below 30 for the time being.
Kevin Durant – His long-term future is uncertain and if, by any means, he leaves, his shoes would be too big for any player to fill. But as long as Kevin Durant is here, he is no second fiddle to Stephen Curry and is a superstar on any given day. Already a part of the Warriors’ history, it would take some efforts to stop him and the Dubs from clinching their 3rd successive NBA crown.
