How both the teams performed in China?

Dominican Republic:

The Dominican Republic came through a tricky group following two wins from three games at the first round stage.

Their only loss came against France, which in fact, was one of the most one-sided games in the current World Cup.

The World No-3 side flexed their muscles and handed out a grave lesson to the Dominican players, beating the World No-17 side at Shenzhen Bay Sports Center in Game-2.

No Dominican player, barring Victor Liz who ended with a modest 12 points, could manage a score in the double digits.

That said, Australia’s 82-76 win over them means, this is a must-win game for the Dominican team.

Lithuania:

Lithuania were placed in Group H, alongside Australia, Canada, and Senegal, which was also the group of Death at this World Cup.

The World No-6 opened their campaign with a straightforward 101-47 win over Senegal while seeing off the depleted Canadians proved to be a rather easy assignment as Jonas Kazlauskas’ men beat the Nick Nurse’s men 92-69 in Game-2.

Australia managed to crack their defense in Game-3, winning the match 87-82.

Like the Dominican Republic, Lithuania also comes into this game on the back of a defeat in the first game in the second round stage.
