Denver Nuggets will be looking for a statement win when they host Eastern Conference giants Toronto Raptors at Pepsi Center, in Denver, Colorado, on Monday morning (IST).

Fireworks erupted inside the Pepsi Center when Denver Nuggets hosted Oklahoma City Thunder in an NBA match. The Nuggets’ newly found aggression, one of the reasons for their giant rise this season, took a nasty turn as Russell Westbrook and Jamal Murray acted as a sparring partner in a match billed as a playoff encounter which may be fought come the post-season.

Kawhi Leonard returned to the matchday squad but couldn’t save his team from the jaws of defeat as Toronto Raptors fell to 122-128 defeat against Portland Trail Blazers on the road.

Raptors were without Kyle Lowry and Jonas Valanciunas in the match and their absence was felt time and time again as the visitors looked fragile on both ends of the court. Kawhi Leonard – The 2014 NBA finals MVP is finally showing the signs to return back to his very best. The former San Antonio Spurs star is racking up 26.1 points per game, rising to 28.8 in the last 10 games. It’s a sign that he is hitting the heights, and one of the big reasons why Raptors are at the top in Eastern Conference at this moment.
Serge Ibaka – There is Kawhi Leonard and then there are many in Toronto Raptors’ team who are performing almost at the same level, Serge Ibaka is one of them. The 29-year-old star is averaging 16.4 points per game, which is way higher than his career average of 12.2 points per game.
