This game came just 48 hours after the historical Game-3 where the match went to four overtimes. The players though were as hungry as ever and gave their all on the court.
“The biggest part was mental,” Murray said after his 55 minutes display in Game-3.
“We know what to do physically but that was a draining game and we had to come back with energy, face a great team. We were able to get what we wanted on offense and the stops on defense.”
The series is tied at 2-2 and now and the fifth game will be played in Denver.
Regular Season Record-
Portland Trail Blazers: W-53, L-29
Denver Nuggets: W-54, L-28
Players to watch out for:
Portland Trail Blazers:
Damian Lillard – It takes more than just the talent to produce a buzzer-beater, while in the playoff, the buzzer beater is something esoteric. Damian Lillard finished off Oklahoma City Thunder with his Goldust shot in the first round series, and his confidence and the form is the reason why Portland Trail Blazers are being seen as a dark horse for the ultimate glory.
The 28-year-old point guard is averaging 30.8 points per game in the playoffs.
CJ McCollum – Just when it counted, he came good. And it was not a fluke or a flash in the pan for McCollum is too good a talent and is consistent enough to become a go-to-man in any team.
The 27-year-old is averaging 25 points per game in the 2019 postseasons. While in the last game, he dropped a game-high 41 points.
Denver Nuggets:
Nikola Jokic – The Big Serbian clocked another triple-double and scored 21 points, 11 assists, and 12 rebounds. He is averaging 24.5 points per game in the playoffs, and lead the way with a team-high 12.5 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game.
Jamal Murray – In the last two games, he has scored 34 points each taking his playoff average to 21.7 points per game.
