DEN vs POR Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Denver Nuggets started the series from where they left off against the San Antonio Spurs in Game-7 of the first round matchup. They were better and more precise in tight situations in Game-1 against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The momentum was with the hosts, and also an opportunity to take a 2-0 lead in the series. But the visitors came out in Game-2 with a plan. Well, whatever it was, head-coach Terry Stotts must have not foreseen a difficult evening for star point guard Damian Lillard.
But Blazers still won the game 90-97 and leveled the series 1-1.
Lillard, for his part, could rack up only 14 points, shooting just 5-of-17 from the field. But C. J. McCollum led the way with 20 points to go with six assists and six rebounds.

But the real difference was made by the bench as Blazers got a massive 32 points from their second unit, while Nuggets has 26 from the bench.
While for Nuggets, Nikola Jokic had the double-double but was restricted in the offensive zones. He finished the match with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Paul Millsap followed with a double-double of his own scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Lillard shot just two of his first eight shots, and even then Blazers entered break 15 points up. It’s clear that Nuggets were even poorer as they couldn’t take advantage of the situation.
Regular Season Record-
Portland Trail Blazers: W-53, L-29
Denver Nuggets: W-54, L-28
Players to watch out for:
Portland Trail Blazers:
Damian Lillard – He was restricted to just 14 points in Game-2. Not the best of his nights but he could ask for that kind of performance if his team wins for he has been carrying his team in the playoffs.
This was his lowest score in the playoffs this season. As a result, his average came down to 31.1 points per game, which is still very impressive.
CJ McCollum – He came good in Game-2 after enduring a tough game-1. The 27-year-old dropped a game-high 20 points, along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds. His season average now stands 22.6 points per game.
Denver Nuggets:
Nikola Jokic – Was a little short of his standard in Game-2 as he could manage just 16 points. But he was defensively as astute as he can be after racking up a game-high 14 defensive rebounds.
Nuggets are a young team, in fact, the youngest alive in the playoffs this season. And Jokic is the fulcrum of what Nuggets do and dare to dream in this series and beyond.
His post-season average is 23.9 points per game. The big Serbian also leads the charge with a team-high 12.0 rebounds and 8.6 assists per game.
Jamal Murray – Jokic’s sidekick went for 15 points in Game-2. This was not his best game by any means as he is a far better player.
Murray is Nuggets’ second highest scorer in the playoffs with 19.0 points per game.
