DEN vs MIA DREAM11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Denver Nuggets will be aiming to end a three-game skid when they host Miami Heat in the regular season NBA match at Pepsi Center, in Denver, Colorado, on Tuesday morning (IST).
The last three games may have brought negative results, but the season is already looking up, showing a big improvement over the 2017-18 campaign.
That said because Denver Nuggets finished outside the playoff positions last season. But at the moment, with a 37-18 record, the Nuggets are sitting comfortably at the 2nd position, a kind of situation which Denver would have grabbed with their both hands had they been offered at the start of the season.
The defeat in the last three games could be down to the stretch of four away games. The last game was against Philadelphia 76ers which resulted in a 117-110 loss at Wells Fargo Center Philadelphia.
For the Miami Heat, the playoff is a real target this season. With a 25-29 record, they are 9th in the Eastern Conference.
But the form has gone South in the last 10 games or so as they have won just three times in that period. Heat will have to pull their socks up if they are to become a genuine threat for the NBA playoffs.
Regular Season Record-
Denver Nuggets: W-37, L-18
Miami Heat: W-25, L-29
Players to watch out for:
Denver Nuggets:
Nikola Jokic – A whole package, a player who can single-handedly win the game for his team, Nikola Jokic is playing like a leader this season. The 23-year-old is the team’s highest-scorer, averaging 20.4 points per game.
It’s not only the points which make him an indispensable part of the team, but the 2014 first round pick is also racking up the most rebounds (10.5) and assists (7.7) per game for Denver Nuggets this season.
Jamal Murray – The 21-year-old is racking up 18.6 points per game this season. He is a player who has a vast potential and will only get better with time.
Miami Heat:
Josh Richardson – He was quite phenomenal against Golden State Warriors as he scored a team-high 37 points. Though his efforts went in vain, it underlines the fact that the 25-year-old has been instrumental in Miami Heat’s playoff hopes. His season average is 17.0 points per game.
Dwyane Wade – This is his last season, and he is having quite an impact mainly from the bench. The 37-year-old is scoring points at 13.9 per game and remains the team’s 3rf best player this season. The young player can certainly take a cue from his efforts.
